On Friday 6th April, we did a cooking lesson where we prepared healthy chicken nuggets and chips from scratch. The children started by peeling the potatoes and cutting them into chips. Then we placed them in boiling water for a little while, strained them and put straight into the oven.
We also boiled boneless chicken breasts which were then crushed inside the mixer. We added eggs and salt accordingly and afterwards weighed the same amount for each child. Every student had their own dish with their name on it and in it they had to shape the nuggets, then roll it in beaten egg before passing through breadcrumbs. Finally into the oven and at the end straight into the hungry bellies! 🙂
